Core Team - Ty Francis

Ty is the Managing Director of Qualia (UK). Corporate Communications is at the heart of his practice, but his work also uniquely synthesises brand development, OD/change management and business development disciplines. He is passionate about the contribution of creative leadership in business. A skilled strategist, coach and facilitator, he has originated a number of approaches to ‘hot-housing’ innovation and has developed unique leadership and management development programmes.

Ty has worked with some of the world’s leading corporations as well as with Government Departments and community groups in Europe, USA and South Africa. He is currently completing doctoral research into how to harness the power of intuition in the breakthrough process. Ty is also helping to establish a UK Centre for Gestalt in Organisations, and has pioneered the development of Organisational Constellations in the UK for over 6 years.

Richard Holt

Richard is the Managing Director of Qualia (South Africa). He is passionate about developing enterprise cultures within teams and organisations, as well as regionally and nationally. An effective and skilled communicator, Richard excels at connecting people and best practice across networks and communities of interest. He has considerable experience of partnership working and knowledge management processes, especially across different stakeholder groups.

He works with commercial organisations, Government Departments and Regional Development Agencies, as well as business support agencies (previously, Richard spent ten years in Chief Executive positions with Enterprise Agencies and Business Links). He also works directly with owners-managers of SMEs and has created a number of successful peer-group and self-help networks for Chief Executives to focus on shared learning across a range of business sectors both in the UK and in South Africa.

Mike King

Mike King is Qualia’s Business Manager. He provides management information systems and services including business administration, financial management, database development and events support. His specialism is in developing practical systems that really deliver organisational objectives and customer satisfaction.

Previously Mike has worked in the Retail sector as a Store Manager and Regional Training Manager, in the IT sector as a Project Manager on national, strategic healthcare information systems, and in the voluntary sector where he directed the modernisation and merger of several regional support services into a coherent, customer-facing organisation with a single point of access. Mike has also sat on a Health Authority strategic task force for developing patient services. He is passionate about community involvement in local service development.
